Verb second

The verb is always the second element in a main clause.

  1. Tomorrow I'm going to Utrecht.
  2. I drink coffee every morning.
  3. It is cold today.
  4. On Saturday we go to the market.
  5. After dinner I watch TV.
  6. My brother lives in Amsterdam.
  7. Now I'm hungry.
  8. The lesson starts at eight o'clock.
  9. Sometimes she cycles to work.
  10. In the summer we go to the beach.
