Starting with a time phrase

Inversion after a time or place phrase at the start of the sentence.

  1. Last year I did a course in photography.
  2. This morning the doctor called me.
  3. At the market I bought fresh vegetables.
  4. Next summer we're going to Italy.
  5. In the evening we often play cards.
  6. After work I always go straight home.
  7. On Sunday the whole family came to lunch.
  8. Two weeks ago I got a letter from the council.
  9. In the evening my flat is very quiet.
  10. For three months I've been learning Dutch.
  11. At the dentist I waited for half an hour.
  12. On the first of April we started the new job.
