Kom binnen! Telling people what to do
- To invite or tell someone to do something, use the stem of the verb (the ik-form), at the start: komen → Kom binnen! gaan → Ga zitten!
- Add maar to make it friendly: Kom maar binnen. Ga maar zitten.
- With separable verbs, the small part goes to the end: Doe de deur open.
- With u it's more polite, and the verb gets -t: Komt u binnen. Gaat u zitten.
