Grammar

Separable verbs: opstijgen, aankomen, inchecken

Many travel verbs are separable. In a main clause the prefix goes to the end: Het vliegtuig stijgt om tien uur op. We komen om drie uur aan.
With a modal the verb stays in one piece at the end: We moeten om negen uur inchecken.
In the perfect, ge- goes in the middle: Het vliegtuig is opgestegen. We zijn om drie uur aangekomen.
In a subclause the verb is joined again at the end: Ik bel je als ik aankom.

perfect	Het vliegtuig is opgestegen.	We zijn om drie uur aangekomen.
