Dat-clauses: Ik denk dat…

After verbs like denken, hopen, weten, zeggen and vinden you can add a clause with dat (that). The verb goes to the end: Ik denk dat het druk wordt.
With two verbs, both go to the end: Ik hoop dat we nog kaartjes kunnen kopen.
Separable verbs join up at the end: Ik denk dat de band om negen uur optreedt.
English often leaves out “that”, but Dutch never drops dat: I think it's sold out. → Ik denk dat het uitverkocht is.

De band treedt om negen uur op.	Ik weet dat de band om negen uur optreedt.
