Separable verbs in verb clusters

In a main clause the particle goes to the end: Ik los elke maand tweehonderd euro af. In the participle, ge- goes inside: afgelost, overgemaakt; with te, it also goes inside: af te lossen.
In a verb cluster at the end, the particle normally sticks to its own verb: …dat ik het geld heb overgemaakt. …dat we de lening sneller willen aflossen.
The particle may also move to the front of the whole cluster, which is common in speech: …dat we de lening sneller af willen lossen. It can never come after its verb: not *willen lossen af.
Modal + perfect gives a double infinitive, not a participle of the modal: Ik heb het bedrag nog niet kunnen overmaken. (not gekund)
With om … te: Ik spaar om mijn studieschuld sneller af te lossen.
